You've got to get out of my dreams You've got to get out of my dreams You've got to get out of my dreams You've got to get out of my dreams

Romeo 03:39
My veins are straining I may be holding on too tight But it feels like fiction As if you've placed me in another life The end is drawing near Is there something I'm missing Don't want to wait I can't get you to listen I won't let go Don't want to know What happens if you leave You're no Romeo What's the use of my youth if I'm not yours? Cut the cameo Tell the truth, could I be yours? Boy I'm scared, but dying to know What's the use of my youth if I'm not yours? My blood is rushing Coming up from loosening this grip My head and heart's asunder I can't help but wonder if you dream of our next kiss The end is drawing near Is there something I'm missing Don't want to wait Couldn't get you to listen I won't let go Don't want to know What happens when I leave You're no Romeo What's the use of my youth if I'm not yours? Cut the cameo Tell the truth, could I be yours? Boy I'm scared, but dying to know What's the use of my youth if I'm not yours? What is the use if I'm not yours? What is the use if I'm not yours? What is the use if I'm not yours? I have no youth if I'm not yours What is the use if I'm not yours? What is the use if I'm not yours? I have no youth if I'm not yours There's no excuse if I'm not yours You're no Romeo Cut the cameo Boy I'm scared, but dying to know What's the use of my youth if I'm not yours?

Armor 03:56
Take off your armor Don't say a word Just trust that you won't hurt me tonight Running your fingers through my curls Let them linger in my world Just stay a little longer Do you have more to give? Need your stardusted kiss If you're loving like this I'll stay afraid Could you open your heart? Show a sign, that's a start I'm soft for a love that's hard to find Take your armor Take your armor Take your armor Take your armor off x 4 My shield's down I can't make a sound But I lie awake thinking of ways to scream your name There's too much to cut through If you don't make the room And I wonder "Should I call a little louder?" Could you hear me from afar? Or open up your heart? It's close to me to want what's our of reach You're out of reach My arms are open The skies are golden And I don't want to fight So let down your guard

Kassandra 03:59
Last night I dreamt of your body Saw things that I want to know Will I know? If I spoke of what I was seeing Would you still let me inside? Please don't hide I'm so tired My heart knows what is real But makes no noise Like Kassandra No one believes No one receives Can you still hear me? Like Kassandra No one believes No one receives Can you still hear me? Last night was one full of prophet Found meaning deep within your words What are they worth? Apollo who are you hurting? I just want my love to reach the end Who's heart must he defend? I don't want to wait Can you hear me? Like Kassandra No one believes No one receives Can you still hear me? Like Kassandra No one believes No one receives Can you still hear me? Like Kassandra No one believes No one receives Can you still hear me? Like Kassandra No one believes No one receives Can you still hear me?

Constantine 03:47
My brother They told him, my dad My son saw your son in Chicago and I thought he was supposed to be in Cleveland My parents don't know English that well, so So he left the job in Cleveland and came to Chicago And he was looking for another job He said he didn't like the corporate world So he did find a job in Chicago he left after that, he decided to go back home to Sharon and decided to become a school teacher At that time there were a lot of jobs in the factories, he could get a job in the factory He was a teacher then! Two brothers who practiced pulmonary The magnolia in full bloom It's petals dancing all around Creating their own world for me to grow in Beads of sweat on my shoulder, like dew on our sun tea (Your brother will never see another Christmas) Clipped grass littering my ankles Bruised by tar, bitten by bark Time moving slow as the snapper up the street I feel that if there’s no one to hear these memories, they will cease to exist As nothing but a dream, this dream In which we live alone

Fingers left, fingers left, fingers go right Another pair of eyes locking with mine tonight Can they see the fear, the fire? My desire to love is growing dimmer But my heart is putting up a fight We just got here and I already want to leave Now I'm curious can they hear my tapping feet Tapping to the monotony, I've got to be on my way out again Guess it's time to head back to the sea I see too many names Is this a game? I don't want to play again Now I'm looking at the black sky Getting ready for another empty bed tonight My fingers are flexed I wonder who's next But I'd rather be lonely than wish I looked left I can't fight this feeling Don't know what I'm dealing with But still I swim despite my heartstring's atrophy It feels like I'm slowly going insane Take two steps forward, anxiety begun The clock is ticking, the race already won With one step back, I'm still at square one Take two steps forward, anxiety begun The pressure's building, the race already won With one step back, I'm still at square one

Fig Tree 05:10
Scorching sun, gravel roads A simple life could be all we know The sea so clear Like where the mountains meet the sky We'd be happy here Either dead or alive Would you be so kind, as to fall in love with me? Standing in the shade, underneath the fig tree When hearts are scarred it's hard to gauge exactly how you feel But baby I'm sold that all of this is real A marketplace filled with merchants A tiny church next door Where the minutes turn to hours and time doesn't matter anymore Bugs that sing, bells that ring in the distance No sound compares, no worries or cares Just your searing skin and mine Would you be so kind, as to fall in love with me? Standing in the shade, underneath the fig tree When hearts are scarred it's hard to gauge exactly how you feel But baby I'm sold that all of this could be real Would you be so kind? Would you be so kind? Would you be so kind? Would you be so kind? Would you be so kind? Would you be so kind? Would you be so kind? Would you be so kind? Would you be so kind? Would you be so kind? Would you be so kind? Would you be so kind?

Feel the heat of the day And the blood of my heart Towards the sun I will pray for my part Towards the sea I will sing Til I hear the bells ring And I know everything will be okay With you here I want you near me Take this weight off my heart Don't know what to say When I'm falling apart Would you feel the same way? If I broke the silence, would you hold my hand while the world ends? While the world ends? While the world ends? While the world ends? While the world ends? Take this weight off my heart Don't know what to say When I'm falling apart Would you feel the same way? If I broke the silence, would you hold my hand while the world ends? While the world ends? While the world ends?

Magic Rush 03:47
I can't wrap my head around the way I'm supposed to feel Do we just let it sit in time Forgetting what was real? I guess I leave this moment in the moment that it was Overthinking every word and crying just because So I dance to remember this body Not a chance that I'm getting you off me You're my spell Nothing else matters if I've got you moving with me Nothing lasts forever but it's better when it lasts I thought I'd keep this moment But I hope it passes fast Maybe you won't stick around And leave me with the leaves Another touch, another hand disappearing with the breeze So I dance to remember this body Not a chance that I'm getting you off me You're my spell Nothing else matters if I've got you moving with me Are you close enough? Can you feel my touch? You're my magic rush And I see you're forever with me Would you know, if I let go? Like Calypso, if I let go? Could you tell under my spell, that you loved me? So I dance to remember this body Not a chance that I'm getting you off me You're my spell Nothing else matters if I've got you moving with me Are you close enough? Can you feel my touch? You're my magic rush And I see you're forever with me

Adonis 04:17
Have you seen me, within your sleep? Do you even dream like me? My imagination's run wild Like a boar or untethered child Would you take me as your god? Soft and tender, humanly flawed Falling to the nectar of love Good thing I have a sweet tooth Cause I can't get enough of you in my veins Honey stuck on my finger tips The taste of Adonis on your lips Flowers bloom when we misbehave A man of marble lost to the heart Aphrodite's turned loss to an art To feel this pain makes me feel a child But I felt your touch and life was worthwhile Good thing I have a sweet tooth Cause I can't get enough of you in my veins Honey stuck on my finger tips The taste of Adonis on your lips Flowers bloom when we misbehave You've got to get out of my dreams You've got to get out of my dreams You've got to get out of my dreams You've got to get out of my dreams Good thing I have a sweet tooth Cause I can't get enough of you in my veins Honey stuck on our finger tips The taste of Adonis on your lips Flowers bloom when we misbehave

about

This album is conceptual, meant to be listened through front to back and experienced like a Divine Liturgy. The tale of Adonis is a sad yet powerful one; he was the most beautiful human being and sought after by gods and humans alike. He was killed by a boar, sent by Artemis in a fit of jealousy. While he passed, Aphrodite wept over his body and from the blood, tears and nectar, flowers bloomed.

I was moved by this story while pulling myself out of a romantic fantasy. We often get stuck in the idea of someone, giving away parts of ourselves and losing sight of what is real. This project was my processing of this experience, meant to help us grow from our mistakes. Flowers bloom when we misbehave, and we are able to find something beautiful from romantic anguish, a concept plucked from a myth. There is also a double entendre in this album's story. We could be singing about our own Adonis or we could become the fantasy we have chased for so long. After all, we are our own divine beings. Which ones will we choose to worship?
